Project Description: “Regional Recreation Stakeholder Engagement” is the official name for Track 1 of the “Sustainable Recreation and Tourism Initiative”. Efforts will include 12 facilitated meetings in Inyo, Mono, and Alpine counties starting in September of 2019. Stakeholder consensus, identified challenges, and emerging trends will be documented and shared on this web page. Through these efforts, public support can be identified for programs and on the ground infrastructure investments. MLTPA is pleased to provide this web page in support of the Eastern Sierra Sustainable Recreation Partnership (ESSRP) and the "Sustainable Recreation and Tourism Initiative."
Funding for this project has been provided by the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, an agency of the State of California, under the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access For All Act of 2018 (Proposition 68) and in support of the Sierra Nevada Watershed Improvement Program.
