Recreate Responsibly California
Since 2021, MLTPA has served as the convener of the Recreate Responsibly California Coalition, a state-wide focused alliance of recreation partners of the national Recreate Responsibly Coalition. EASTERN SIERRA SUSTAINABLE RECREATION PARTNERSHIP
MLTPA convenes the Eastern Sierra Sustainable Recreation Partnership, known as the ESSRP, a public-public partnership of regional land managers and government agencies in the Eastern Sierra. The ESSRP meets monthly. Click above to learn more about the ESSRP's members, goals, and projects.
SUSTAINABLE RECREATION AND TOURISM INITIATIVE
MLTPA administered and staffed the Sustainable Recreation and Tourism Initiative, the SRTI, on behalf of the Eastern Sierra Sustainable Recreation Partnership, the ESSRP, from 2019 to 2022. Click above to access the four deliverables that the SRTI created to benefit the Eastern Sierra region.
Towns to Trails Planning
As a partner and subconsultant to Alta Planning + Design, MLTPA assists with regional stakeholder outreach, GIS and mapping, and ongoing project support for the Eastern Sierra Council of Government's Towns to Trails Planning project. Innovative Finance for National Forests
MLTPA is working with Quantified Ventures, the Inyo National Forest, and the U.S. Forest Service Pacific Southwest Region to renovate the Inyo National Forest's campgrounds using an innovative finance approach. Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance
Along with its efforts to convene and support the Eastern Sierra Sustainable Recreation Partnership, the ESSRP, MLTPA has engaged six units of the National Park Service through a Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance grant to determine their willingness to join the ESSRP.
Eastern Sierra Recreation Collaborative
MLTPA sponsored, facilitated, and convened the Eastern Sierra Recreation Collaborative, the ESRC, a regional forum for recreation stakeholders that contributed to the Inyo National Forest Management Plan Revision. View the strategic documents produced by stakeholders that informed the final plan.
