Sierra Nevada Conservancy - 2007
In 2007, MLTPA received one of the first grants from the Sierra Nevada Conservancy's Proposition 84 Grant Program, which has awarded over $50 million to projects that "...directly improve watershed health, water quality, and community health for the betterment of the people of California." Sierra Nevada Conservancy - SRTI
"In 2019, SNC awarded Proposition 68 funds to launch SRTI, a unique public/public partnership to design, plan, implement, and report out projects to improve and maintain recreational opportunities as well as restore ecosystems to their natural resiliency and functions."
Recreate Responsibly California
Recreate Responsibly California was established in 2020 as a state coalition of the national Recreate Responsibly Coalition to bring together land managers, recreation advocates, and industry leaders to develop and promote messaging that encouraged safe outdoor recreation during the pandemic.
Sierra Nevada Conservancy - Towns to Trails
In 2021, MLTPA worked with the Eastern Sierra Council of Governments to submit a grant to the SNC for the Eastern Sierra Towns to Trails plan, which worked to identify opportunities to connect Eastern Sierra communities in California to each other and to public lands throughout the region.
National Fish and Wildlife Foundation - BIRPI
In 2023, MLTPA worked with the Eastern Sierra Council of Governments to submit a grant to NFWF for the Buttermilk Infrastructure and Recreation Planning Initiative, a two-phase project to address current resource impacts and plan for sustainable recreation in the Buttermilk area.
California Jobs First - SJF Coordinator
In 2024, MLTPA was identified as an Industry Sector Coordinator, assisting the Sierra Jobs First team in support of the “Sustainable Recreation and Tourism” sector by providing technical assistance and counsel and facilitating representation, engagement, and collaboration within sectors.
California Jobs First - SJF Campgrounds
In 2024, MLTPA was awarded a grant by Sierra Jobs First to initiate the Eastern Sierra Regional Campground Improvements and Jobs Creation project to undertake planning for the renovation of campgrounds in the Eastern Sierra Jobs First Region, including Inyo, Mono, Calaveras, and Tuolumne counties.
California Jobs First - Towns to Trails West
In 2024, MLTPA was awarded a grant by Sierra Jobs First to initiate the Eastern Sierra Regional Trail System and Jobs Creation project, which aims to explore opportunities to complete a regional trail system through a Westside Towns to Trails Plan.
California Jobs First - Recreation Education
In 2024, MLTPA was awarded a grant by Sierra Jobs First to implement the Eastern Sierra Regional Climate and Recreation Jobs Creation project, in collaboration with Cerro Coso Community College's Sustainable Outdoor Recreation and Forestry, Climate, and Conservation degree pathways program.
