Mammoth Lakes Public Comment

MPRR (Mobility Plan Resources Report)

After the Ranch Road Gate debacle, and before MLTPA was formally organized, local citizens who were to form the core of MLTPA put together a resources report for the benefit of several commissions and members of Town staff who were meeting to discuss the Town's Draft Mobility Plan.

Clearwater Specific Plan

The Clearwater Specific Plan establishes land use guidelines and development standards for the Clearwater Specific Plan area. These guidelines and standards provide a framework for development of a cohesive, mixed-use, pedestrian-oriented condominium hotel opportunity.

East OSSC

This plan for the East Open Space Stream Corridor is derived from the Town's 2007 General Plan policies that require district planning for Major Land Use Development projects that propose changes to the Zoning Code or General Plan.

Hidden Creek Crossing Special Study

The Shady Rest site ('Hidden Creek Crossing') is centrally located in the Town of Mammoth Lakes, one block south of Main Street and two blocks west of Old Mammoth Road. The site encompasses just under 25-acres and includes a wetland on the northwest portion of the property.

Holiday Haus

The project proposes a Hotel Condominium that would include a total of 91 units (135 bedrooms) that would encompass 77 condominium units (120 bedrooms) and 14 on-site workforce housing units (15 bedrooms) constructed above an underground parking structure.

Lake Mary Road Bike Path

The Town of Mammoth Lakes contracted Spiess Construction Co. Inc., to construct a Class 1 bike path (separated from traffic) for bikes and pedestrians from the intersection of Lake Mary Road and Minaret Road (SR 203) to Horseshoe Lake.

Mammoth Crossing Draft EIR

The Project proposes redevelopment of three of the four corners that comprise the Main Street-Lake Mary Road/Minaret Road intersection with a combination of resort accommodations, retail uses, and public plazas. The Project is located within the North Village Specific Plan area.

North Village District Planning Study

The North Village District Planning Study has been developed in accordance with the Town's district planning policy, which requires completion of district planning in conjunction with major land use applications seeking zoning code or General Plan amendments.

MMSA SKi Back Trail EA

The Mammoth Mountain Ski Area has applied to the United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service (Inyo National Forest) for approval to construct the Ski Back Trail. MMSA proposes to construct a ski trail to increase skiable terrain at the Canyon Lodge portal.

North OMR District Special Study

The intent of this District Plan is to reinforce this core community area as a desirable place for residents as well as visitors to live, shop, and recreate, reducing the dependency on the automobile.

Sierra Star NDP Study

The SSMP is a district zoning amendment (DZA) application to the Town by Starwood Development which would involve changes to the 1991 Lodestar Master Plan (LMP) that would result in replacement of the LMP with a new master plan.

Snowcreek Neighborhood District Plan

The Snowcreek District contains approximately 440 acres, and includes all eight phases of the Snowcreek project including the Snowcreek VIII project site, currently under consideration. Ninety-four (94) acres forming the eastern boundary of the District are part of a Land Exchange with the USFS.

Snowcreek VIII DEIR

The Project consists of adoption by the Town of the Snowcreek VIII, Snowcreek Master Plan Update - 2007 (2007 Master Plan) to revise the Updated Master Plan for Snowcreek at Mammoth (1981 Master Plan), which was an update of the original Snowcreek Master Plan (1974 Master Plan).

Snowcreek VIII Master Plan

Snowcreek VIII will be the largest single real estate development project in Mammoth Lakes to date and will play a significant role in defining the interface between the Town of Mammoth Lakes and U.S. Forest Service lands along the Town’s southern boundary.

TOML Draft Parks & Rec Master Plan

This Parks and Recreation Master Plan assesses the Town's recreation needs for the future and establishes goals and policies that will guide park improvements. It contains an analysis of the supply, demand, and needs for park and recreation facilities and services within the Town of Mammoth Lakes.

Wild Heritage Act

This proposal preserves over 470,000 acres of spectacular, unroaded lands as wilderness, adds 52 miles to the national wild and scenic river system and creates a winter recreation area outside Bridgeport in Mono County.
