Trail Days - Summer of Stewardship - 2022

Series Sponsors: Inyo National Forest, Town of Mammmoth Lakes, Measure R

Project Description:

The Town of Mammoth Lakes and Inyo National Forest are teaming up for the 13th season of Trails Days on the Mammoth Lakes Trail System. With more opportunities than ever you're invited to join the Mammoth Lakes Trail System trail crew and hosts to help with new trail construction, maintenance, and stewardship activities all summer long. Sign up online for volunteer shifts one week in advance. Open shifts kick-off on National Trails Day, Saturday June 4th and are available Wednesdays and Weekends through September. This summer we'll be working in the Sherwins area, finishing new trails in the Lakes Basin, and adding water-centric opportunities to our Host Program!

          (SHIFTS ARE NOW CLOSED!)

(CHECK OUT THE LAKES BASIN CLEANUP EVENT 9/17!)

All ages and ability levels are welcome. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian, and all volunteers must sign a liability waiver prior to beginning work. We will provide all necessary tools and specialized safety gear, but ask participants to arrive with personal pertective equpitment (masks, gloves, eye protection, sunglasses are fine) and proper clothing for your assignment. And please don't forget your sunscreen, hat, bug spray, or water bottle.

Trail Days are made possible by the Town of Mammoth Lakes, Inyo National Forest, Mammoth Lakes Recreation, and Mammoth’s own Measure R!

We hope you’ll join us this summer to Build – Host – Care – and Connect

See you on the trails!
