July 19: Trail Days on the Minaret Vista Loop Trail

Project Description: There are views in Mammoth Lakes and then there are VIEWS, and the Minaret Vista Loop Trail has got ‘em all! Please join Brian’s Bicycles, the Eastern Sierra Interpretive Center, MLTPA, and Friends of the Inyo at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 19 at the Minaret Vista to steward a little gem of a trail on the Mammoth Lakes Trail System! All ages are welcome, and a free lunch and raffle prizes will be had by all. Close-toed shoes and long pants required; please carpool if possible. Volunteers will be working on a general clean up and re-establishment of the Minaret Vista Loop Trail. Volunteers will also get an introduction to trail maintenance skills from Friends of the Inyo staff, and those interested in being regular members of the Mammoth Lakes Trail System stewardship team should be sure to show up on July 19 to get trained up for future SOS projects.   • When: Saturday, July 19, 8:30 a.m.
  • Where: Meet at the Minaret Vista for a free bagel breakfast, safety talk and work assignments.
  • What: Summer of Stewardship Trail Days 2014 Event #3 on the Minaret Vista Loop Trail including trail re-establishment, brushing, and maintenance.
  • Who: Volunteers of all ages and abilities are welcome! Please dress for trail work: sturdy, close-toed shoes, hat, and long pants. Gloves and tools provided.
