Summer of Stewardship 2011: August 27 at Lake George Trailheads
Co-hosted by the High Sierra Striders and the High Sierra Equestrian Club
Co-sponsored by Kittredge Sports and the Old New York Deli & Bagel Company
Project Description: Maintenance on the Crystal, TJ, and Barrett Lake trails, as well as lakeshore trash and fishing-line cleanup on Lake George. We'll stage under the pop-up tent at the Lake George Trailheads parking lot (and we encourage volunteers to carpool, as parking is limited), review safety procedures, announce the day's tasks, and have a bagel breakfast, then break into small groups to work on specific projects.
Volunteers will work for approximately three hours, then meet back at the tent for lunch and raffle prizes. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and on-the-ground conditions!
Many thanks to the following raffle sponsors:
- Patagonia: two down jackets and several other articles of clothing
- Michelle Mather Massage: two 90-minute massage certificates
