Summer of Stewardship 2011: July 30 at the Coldwater Trailheads

Co-hosted by Mammoth Mountaineering Supply

Sponsored by the Old New York Deli & Bagel Company

Project Description: Trail maintenance on the Duck Pass, Emerald Lake, and Heart Lake trails, plus trash pickup. We'll stage under the pop-up tent at the Coldwater parking lot (and we encourage volunteers to carpool, as parking is limited), review safety procedures, announce the day's tasks, and have a bagel breakfast, then break into small groups to work on specific projects.

Volunteers will work for approximately three hours, then meet back at the tent for lunch and raffle prizes. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and on-the-ground conditions!

Many thanks to the following raffle sponsors:

  • Patagonia: down jackets, fleece jackets, windbreaker, dress, tank top, and pants
  • Mammoth Mountaineering: trekking poles, Jet Boil Zip Cooking System, titanium mug, titanium cook set, head lamp
