Summer of Stewardship 2011: September 11 at Convict Lake

Project Description: Join us in honoring the National Day of Service and Remembrance! The work program will include maintenance on the Convict Lake trail as well as lakeshore trash and fishing-line cleanup. We'll stage under the pop-up tent at the Convict Lake Resort parking lot (and we encourage volunteers to carpool, as parking is limited), review safety procedures, announce the day's tasks, and have a bagel breakfast, then break into small groups to work on specific projects.

Volunteers will work for approximately three hours, then meet back at the tent for lunch (catered by Convict Lake Resort!) and raffle prizes. Please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather and on-the-ground conditions!
